Deep learning for medical imaging - Spring 2018-2019

Objectives

This international school will address researchers / PhD students in the field of medical imaging wishing to apply deep learning methods to their themes, without being researchers in artificial intelligence. Which methods? Which methodologies? Which tools ... It will be organized around theoretical mornings animated by reknowned specialists of the field and practical afternoons centered on the resolution of real problems.

Dates will be announced later

Physics of Medical Imaging and Simulation - July 2015

Objectives

Promote the use of modern simulation tools for medical imaging for various purposes ranging from the validation of mono or multimodal image processing methods, the design of imagers or the simulation of pathologies accessible via the considered imagery. The school presented the physics basics of the main modalities (US, IRM, RX, PET) and relied on the Virtual Imaging Platform (VIP) simulation platform for the distributed execution of simulations.

Organization

Tutorials (15H) placed in the morning followed by afternoon of TP (15H); the days ended with exchange sessions between participants and organizers. The TP used the CREANUIS software for US, ODIN for IRM and GATE for RX / PET and the Virtual Imaging Platform (VIP) simulation platform.

Tutorials speakers :

  • Ultrasounds : Denis Kouamé (IRIT - Université Toulouse 3 Paul Sabatier)
  • MRI imaging : Hervé Saint-Jalmes (LTSI - Université de Rennes 1)
  • Positron emission tomography: Christian Morel (CPPM, Marseille)
  • X Rays : Nicolas arbor (Université de Strasbourg)
