The primary objective of PRIMES is to develop new concepts and new methods for the exploration, diagnosis and therapy of cancer and pathologies associated with aging.

These research themes, which are multidisciplinary in nature, bring together within the LabEx PRIMES 16 academic or clinical partners (more than 200 permanents) who pool skills covering the fields of fundamental physics, instrumentation, radiobiology,
data acquisition and processing, image reconstruction, simulation and modeling.
