This method of estimating a rate S(D) of survival of a cell line comprises the estimation of the rate S(D) on the basis of a multiplication of a rate CN, CKSL of survival of the cell line to local events by a rate CKSNL of survival of the cell line to different non local events. The determination of the rate CN, CK SL comprises: a) the use of a geometrical model of a biological cell comprising at least one arrangement CN of N nanometric targets and a function f(ci, CKX) associated with each target, the function f(ci,CKX) returning the probability that a local event occurs inside the nanometric target in response to a quantity ci, CKX, b) the determination (118) of the quantity ci,CKX deposited in each of the targets, c) the calculation (116) of the value of the rate CN CKSL on the basis of the quantities ci,CK X, determined during step b), with the aid of the following relation:
