Patrick Pittet was graduated in Electronic Engineering and holds Ph.D. and HDR degrees from the University of Lyon. From 1991 to 1994, he worked as a research engineer in digital signal processing with Thales (formerly Thomson CSF). From 1995 to 2001, he has held different R&D positions for biomedical companies. In December 2001, he joined the University of Lyon where he is currently a Research Engineer at the Institute of Nanotechnology of Lyon (INL). His current research interests include the design of integrated sensors and innovative systems for medical physics. He has authored or co-authored more than 40 regular papers and 70 communications in national and international conferences as well as 5 patents. He is and has been the scientific coordinator for national research programs and industrial collaborative projects. He is also the technical manager of the Nanolyon technological platform at the university Lyon 1 site
